At Neighborly, we believe that taking care of people isn't just something we do for customers. It's how we show up for each other.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a voluntary associate-funded program that provides financial assistance to Neighborly associates facing unexpected, catastrophic hardships. Medical emergencies. Natural disasters. A fire or flood that damages a home. The kind of events that no one plans for and that can bring even the most prepared family to their knees.
The program exists because our associates built it, and because they keep it going, one small contribution at a time.
Hear It from the People Who Know
One associate's daughter had her appendix rupture unexpectedly. Fourteen days in the hospital, thirty minutes from home, with a son whose life they were trying to keep as normal as possible. Gas, meals, back and forth. It added up fast.
"We were really starting to drown," she said. "And I'm forever grateful. I've honestly never worked anywhere that has given me the ability to do something like this."
For the associates who give, it's just as personal.
"You never know when an unexpected event might happen in your life. I for one did, and I benefited from this program. So when it was created, it was a no brainer."
