What Happens When a Company Invests in Its People

Every other year, the Neighborly corporate team comes together for EnRICHment Day — two days set aside to learn, connect, and celebrate the people who make this company run. This year, nearly 800 associates showed up ready to work. They left with full notes, new commitments, and a few stories worth telling.

Learning That Actually Moves the Needle

EnRICHment Day isn't a corporate retreat. It's a real investment in growth. This year's theme, Simplify to Amplify, challenged associates to clear the noise, focus on what matters, and make every action carry more weight.

From main stage sessions to ten breakout tracks, the work was practical and direct: better conversations, clearer accountability, removing friction for teams and customers, and owning your obstacles. Speaker Greg Hawks put it plainly. Every organization has people who act like owners, people who do what's required, and people who undermine the environment around them. The question he left the room with wasn't about anyone else. It was about each person sitting in that seat.

Everyone left with one commitment. One thing to do differently in the next 30 days. Not a plan. A move.

Fun in the Process

At Neighborly, Fun in the Process is part of our Code of Values. The evening before EnRICHment Day, the team took over Globe Life Field in Arlington for Rangers vs. Astros. Good food, colleagues shoulder to shoulder, and Yordan Alvarez ending it with a go-ahead home run in the 8th. The Astros won 4–3. A tough loss for the Rangers fans in the group and a great night regardless.

Recognizing the Best of Neighborly

This year, associates across the Neighborly network submitted 205 nominations, peers recognizing peers for the way they show up, collaborate, and make an impact every day. From those nominations, 14 associates were recognized organization-wide at the Excellence Awards.

The night before EnRICHment Day, honorees gathered with their leaders and the executive team at the Awards Reception. Then, on stage the next day, each winner was celebrated in front of the full group, recognized not just for results, but for how they achieved them.

Two associates received the President's Choice Award, the highest individual honor at Neighborly, selected personally by CEO Mike Davis.

What This Says About Neighborly

205 peer nominations don't happen in a culture where people are just clocking in. They happen when people care about each other's work and feel like the organization cares about theirs.

That's what you're getting when a Neighborly brand shows up at your door. And it's what you'd be stepping into if you're thinking about building a career here or owning a Neighborly brand yourself.
